A New Year - Ice Melt Day
No entries for almost a year. Have a few days and then we are off again for a while.
This is the lakes day to melt. Its been frozen. last week a few days in the 50's melted the snow in the yard. Yesterday reached about 70! Today it is back around 40. The ice has melted in our bay and probably the lake will clear today.
We have been seeing Canada Geese the last few days watching for water. Crows a week ago. Many Grackles the last few days. Finches at the feeders and starting to nest in our awning mechanism. Occasional cardinals and robins.
Beautiful clear day, like most are, but with a strong north wind.
Excepting some Mallards over the winter we have not seen any ducks yet!
