Saw a single Pied Billed Grebe early this morning, and we are still seeing the Mergansers.

Clear Sunny morning but still cold  37 F
Nothing greening yet.

Birds: Single pairs of:    Mallard,  Buffelhead, Red Breasted Merganser, and Hooded Merganser.   Geese

Cardinal, Grackle,

Friday

Another grey, rainy, cool day.  47 F

A small flock of Red Breasted Mergansers on the lake, mostly female with one male.  Pat says these were her yesterday afternoon.  Geese are scarce again.

Nothing is greening up yet.

Saw our Muskrat swimming at dinnertime.  Headed for the dock across the way.

Thursday

Grey - Cold - Windy - Steady Rain - 38 F at noon.

No birds.

• So you won't think I forgot for the day.

Now 5 PM. Still raining. 39 F.  Haven't seen a single bird all day!  Not even a Canada Goose.

Wednesday

Sunny, low 40's
Today so far:
Geese. Mallards,  Hooded Merganser pair, and a Bufflehead pair  Grackles, Robins, Morning Doves.

Sunny morning, Cold and windy.   In the high 30s.  We have our lake back, no ice.
